The mayor will make the final decision subject to approval by the city council. Five casino proposals for Chicago were presented Thursday at a public meeting with Mayor Lori Lightfoot. Bally’s presented two proposals, one in River West and another near McCormick Place. Rush Street Gaming also presented two proposals,Rivers 78 casino. The fifth proposal was presented by Hard Rock for a location near Soldier Field.
Again, we’ll have to dive into history to explain why casinos are built on rivers. Gambling on the water started around the period when the earliest riverboats were manufactured. These riverboats were a major method of transportation, even becoming more popular than trains.
Five Chicago Casino Sites Were Considered
These offers vary on a site by site basis but are widely available. The minimum age in Illinois is 21 years old, as there is no online casino recognized by the state there is no minimum age.
