41 new cases of COVID-19 were discovered in the RMWB over last 96 hours, with 40 of the cases being in Fort McMurray.
Currently, there are 66 active cases in Fort McMurray, and two active cases in the rural communities.
The region has seen 160 recoveries from the virus – 100 in Fort McMurray and 60 in the rural areas.
In Alberta there has been a total of 15,093 cases, with 1,692 currently active. The death toll in Alberta is now at 247 individuals. Fort McMurray has seen its COVID-19 related death. Details about this individual are not publicly known.
Due to the recent spike in cases, the Government of Alberta has put the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo on a watch list.
