Shared from the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo
Mayor and Councillors of the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo have appointed Mr. Jamie Doyle as the Interim Chief Administrative Officer. On Thursday, March 18, at a special Council meeting, Council accepted Ms. Annette Antoniak’s resignation as Chief Administrative Officer. Ms. Antoniak served as CAO since December 2016.
Mayor Scott has provided the following statement:
“On behalf of all my Council colleagues, I want to thank Ms. Antoniak for her leadership and commitment to advancing Council’s strategic priorities – and I wish her the best with her family in Penticton. I am confident in Mr. Doyle’s leadership, and believe that we are in a strong position to move the important work of our region forward. He has served the Municipality as Deputy Chief Administrative Officer for the past two years, prior to that he had served with the Planning and Development department as Director and Manager. Mr. Doyle is a proven municipal leader, and as a Council we have the utmost confidence in his leadership and the Senior Leadership Team he has around him. We have a strong staff and the resources necessary and are well-positioned to keep moving our region forward and providing the services our residents need.
I would also like to address the current pandemic situation which we are experiencing globally. I believe we are in a strong position with our Director of Emergency Management, Scott Davis, leading us through this global pandemic. Mr. Davis has been involved with pandemic response planning, and has 18 years of experience with Emergency Management.”
